When the Russia planned the winter olympics in Sochi 2014, Hakan Lidbo, in collaboration with Denis Simachev, presented an idea based on remote controlled drones, attached to skaters or the ground. This system increase the payload of the drones as the batteries are on the ground - and guarantees safety as the drones not possibly can harm anyone further away than their maximal altitude.
